Full Time / Hourly Position


The Food Safety Specialist is responsible for maintaining applicable Food Safety Programs & Policies; implementation and continuous improvement of food safety focused programs including but not limited to current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and/or Food Safety Plan and compile regulatory requirements from external suppliers.

General Qualifications/Job Requirements:

• Attention to detail is very important
• Must be able to multi task in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in writing and maintaining food safety programs including, but not limited to GMPs & HACCP
• Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to self-start and to complete work requirements
• Ability to get to work at assigned starting times & complete assigned shifts
• High level of customer service, friendly personality, able to learn and practice safe food handling procedures
• Desire to develop skills and grow in the job
• Follow direction and procedures for weighing, packing, and scaling meat
• Must have current HACCP certification
• Regular work in both coolers and freezers; temperature extremes in working environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
